Who does HANIWAI serve?

We support Indigenous women, children, and other vulnerable groups affected by domestic violence, displacement, climate crises, sorcery-related accusations, and tribal conflict. This includes widows, orphans, LGBTQ+ individuals, persons with disabilities, and those facing systemic injustice.

Is HANIWAI a registered organization?

Yes, we are a registered non-profit organization operating in accordance with Papua New Guinea's legal and community-based frameworks.

How can I get involved?

We welcome supporters in many forms—volunteers, collaborators, donors, and advocates. You can join community events, contribute skills, help amplify our work, or support us financially. Visit our Contact Page or Donate here to get involved!

How are donations used?

All donations go directly toward HANIWAI's mission: providing safe shelters, trauma counseling, community workshops, climate justice advocacy, and empowerment programs for Indigenous communities.

Do you work outside of Papua New Guinea?

While our roots are in PNG, our advocacy and partnerships extend across the Pacific. We work with regional allies to address shared challenges like climate-induced displacement and gender-based violence.
