Youth Resource Week

The National Youth Resource Week, held from March 24 to 28, 2025, at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby, was a dynamic platform dedicated to empowering youth through knowledge, opportunity, and inspiration. Hosted in collaboration with the private sector, educational institutions, and government agencies, the event brought together more than 20,000 young people from across Papua New Guinea. Throughout the week, attendees took part in exhibitions, panel discussions, business networking sessions, and skills-building workshops.

HANIWAI Youth Members were proud participants in this nation-wide event, where they had the chance to engage directly with industry leaders, mentors, and change-makers. As part of their involvement, they showcased cultural knowledge and community-driven solutions aligned with HANIWAI’s mission of environmental stewardship and indigenous empowerment. Their presence also provided a unique voice in discussions about youth representation and grassroots development.

Participation in Youth Resource Week reaffirmed HANIWAI’s commitment to nurturing young leaders and expanding access to resources that inspire positive change. The experience not only built confidence among our members but also positioned them as active contributors to national dialogue on sustainable progress and inclusive development.
